How to use decir
Decir means to say or to tell. The person you tell takes an indirect object pronoun (me, te, le…).
- Te digo la verdad.I'm telling you the truth.
- ¿Qué dijo?What did he say?
- Dime qué pasó.Tell me what happened.
Common mistake: The preterite is dijeron (they said), not «dijieron». There's no i after the j.
