How to use vivir

Vivir is the model regular -ir verb. Its endings differ from -er verbs only in the nosotros and vosotros forms of a few tenses.

Vivo cerca del centro.I live near downtown.
Vivimos en Chile tres años.We lived in Chile for three years.

Common mistake: Present nosotros is vivimos (not «vivemos»).
